Prep for first flight

RhinoHawk EX UAV Testhered TestThe team is prepping the flight test vehicle for first flight testing this week. We are completing the flight controller mount on the electronics plate and writing the test plan. We will start with tethered flights to determine the power required for liftoff as well as the response rate of the motors.

Flight test #2 is in the works for the week after to start evaluating the PID tuning and to start testing the GPS lock and autonomy capability.

This is all leading up to the demonstration flight required for deliverable 2 in April. We hope to have the autonomous takeoff and landing completed by the end of March to give us plenty of time to complete the written report and submit early.
